Purpose of A-shaped corridor panels in TOS?

Umm, Maurice was clearly referring to the regular doorways, not the Krell ones.

Take a square, cut it off by the floor and then tilt 90 degrees, and voila! :p

90 degrees is one quarter of 360 degrees. There are four sides on a square. Rotate a square 90 degrees about its center and it looks the same as before.

Rotate a square standing on its edge 45 degrees about its center, and then its standing on a corner.

...But cut a square horizontally ("by the floor") so that it becomes a rectangle, rotate it 90 degrees, and you do have a regular, human-standard doorway. Which was the feeble joke I was trying to make.

Yes, yes. It was mistake.

Well, I knew what you meant anyway. I only spelled out B.J.'s point in that much detail because I misunderstood Timo's joke, which went right over my head.
