Punch-out

The footage I've seen for the new Punch-Out takes me right back to the NES version, which I loved!

Its been out for a while now, so has anyone played it and have any thoughts?

^I've been wondering the same thing. I hear using the controller in the sideways "nes style" position is the best way to play the game, but I haven't really heard much on how good the game actually is.

Okay....I played Punch-Out for a couple hours today..... I love the style and look of the game, it is kind of corny and lame, but a ton of fun! We only played using the wiimote and nunchuk--didn't even try the nes-style controls. Easy learning curve.

I fear the game might be very short. In about 4 hours, we made it to The Great Tiger, and by that time I'd had a few cocktails and my focus wasn't really there. It was getting pretty mind-fuckingly trippy: The Great Tiger would dissapear and reapear in a cloud of fuzzy-haze and smack my ass down, and the ruby on his head would glow different colours and he'd do different moves depending on the colour... I couldn't really pick up on a pattern to his craziness. Then that laugh when he knocked me out! "Ha. Ha. Ha!" That fucking laugh got on my nerves. We beat The Great Tiger after about the 20th try, and then got hammered by Don Flamenco a couple of times before we called it a night.

I've not had so much fun playing a game in a very long time!

^ What are you talking about, the Wii pretty much is a power glove!

Anyway, NES style controls are the way to go. I wouldn't worry about the game being too short. Sure, it's not long, but if you're only at Don Flamenco, you have a ways to go (especially with the Title Defenses)
