Ptolemy Class Starship Blueprints...

Not bad at all. I've beening modeling the Ptolemy, among other things, in Modo.
Been using the Tech Manual, but even more info in your upload. Thanks Much! :)

These are very well done and fairly comprehensive.
I like that the hanging dish was nixed for a version built into
the side of the primary hull.
Unfortunately, what happens to the forward sensor arrays that were in its place?
Also, in terms of the interior of a nacelle, I think many fans and people who worked on the show, get this wrong.
I think Geoffrey Mandel's take on the inside configuration of the standard cylindrical nacelle is more spot on in terms of a more realistic layout, but I think he doesn't incorporate enough machinery in his design to make the warp engine seem believable.
Look, The size of any these nacelles is equivalent to a Saturn V rocket (or a little bigger) laying on its side.
These things are huge in length and huge in diameter!
They wouldn't, necessarily be just stuffed with machinery.
There is room to have inspection and access ways and areas(room/s) to do interior inspections and some routine maintenance and diagnostics. There's gotta be someway to get inside one of these when something goes wrong and the ship is out in the middle of Federation space with no Starbases or planets with orbital drydock facilties that the ship can, realistically, get to.

Other than these observations, this set is pretty nice!

^^ Oooh, waay kewel! :techman:

Great stuff there, I particularly like your "Rattling the Sabre", that baby would make a nice contribution to the next "Ships of the Line" calender IMHO. Keep up the great work!

I'd love to claim "Rattling the Saber", but that one is Archangel's. My dreadnaught isn't
finished yet, and I wanted to keep track of his conversion of Dragonpyper's dreadnaught,
so I slapped him on my favourites list. :)

Two Trek artists who HAVE used my Connie are Arcass and Celticarchie. They rendered her
in scenes better than I ever could! :)

Ooops! Guess I got carried away over all the purdy pictures and forgot to read? Anywho, great artwork all around.
