It's more Psychotic Nikki, really. If you and I went round talking like this, we'd be locked up.
When the National Lottery Show first started in the UK there was an in-house psychic named Mystic Meg. She would make incredibly broad predictions that applied to about half the population, such as that week's winner having an M in their name (audience: "Ooooooooh!") or that they have a pet cat (audience: "Ooooooooh!") or some such nonsense. Brian Conley's lampooning of her (mentioned in the link) was hilarious, and not that far off Mystic Meg's actual predictions.
Despite these psychics being cranks, though some may actually believe in their supposed abilities, they can have quite a following and rake in the money from vulnerable, sometimes desperate individuals. There is, of course, no way to regulate this industry short of shutting it down.
Yes, that's true, too. They're not the ones who are the charlatans. My guess, though, is that all the ones raking in the big money are.
I wish it was.Giant Octopussy!

I will be very disappointed if a cruise ship isn't sunk by a giant octopus. I can think of few things that would be cooler than proving that there is really such a thing as a kraken.
Maybe you got closer than you think. What if in the new James Bond (or in any other action movie to be shot this year) an octopus does sink a small ship? Maybe Hollywood is planning the umptiest remake of 20,000 leagues below the sea?Giant Octopussy!

Well, presumably umpteenth means a large but indeterminate number, whereas umptiest means the largest possible number in context.umpteenth time, I meant of course.
