Annorax and his temporal weapon ship somehow tied into the Temporal Cold War storyline. I always thought he was a marvelous villain, most especially because he wasn't the mustache twirling caricature, but a man obsessed by the loss of his home and family and twisted by centuries of trying to achieve an unattainable goal.

Hmm. Come to think of it now... that sounds awfully familiar. ;)

But of course, now I can't help but see Annorrax as some kind of twisted Red Forman, "I said a 100% total restoration... dumbass!" :guffaw:
 
It's easier for me to name villains I'm, frankly, tired of seeing:

X- The Borg (:rolleyes: We get it. They're zombie cyborgs that assimilate everything and adapt to everything)
X- The Jem'hadar (:rolleyes: We get it. They're Jaffa with bad skin)
X- Q (:rolleyes: We get it. He's a supergod with a twisted sense of humor)

Really though, if i'm gonna pick my bad guys, then here's who I'd love to see more of:

:) - Klingons: Yes, Klingons, Trek's original badass bad guys who always ruled when written by people with half a brain.

:) - Romulans: And not the Romulans the way they're depicted in TNG shows and books, where they do nothing but skulk and sneak around and engage in political intrigue. For once, I'd like to see the Romulans (who are essentially Vulcans with ambition, cunning and an imperial streak) depicted as the badasses they would be in an objective universe.

:) - The Excalbians: Because rock people as powerful as The Organians, The Metrons, Q, etc. are just cool!

:) - The First Federation: Like, maybe, they get mad at the Federation for stealing their name. (It could happen...)

There's no other villains I simply have to see in a fanfic really, but any of you authors that wanna use the above more often, I won't complain.

A Borgified version of Adrik Thorsen?

A Temporal Cold War story where something goes horrifically wrong during a Post-Dominion War re-negotiated test of the Genesis Technology on a small scale & a TNG crew is forced to outwit the Optimum Movement with a Borgified Adrik Thorsen heading it up again?

I thought you payed me to take out the trash. And let's be realistic here. Phasers on the head of a tribble? (rasberry). Everybody knows the mean ones use Klingon disruptors(taken off of the bodies of fallen warriors during the great Tribble-Klingon War).
 
1-Alliance of past troublemakers- Breen, Tholians, T'zen-kethi brewing morass for our heroes.

2-Bad ass Redemption aliens come back to stir the pot.

3-New alien race,perhaps from the outskirts of our galaxy-sensing Fed encroachment-comes blitzing into Fed territory and into our hearts.

4-Lastly, I wouldn't mind seeing disgruntled charter signatories.

Andorians, Vulcans, Bajorans, and others come together perhaps orchestrated by an outside entity in rebellion against the Feds.

5 - The Sphere-Builders & perhaps a flashback scene to a pivotal moment with the Preservers from the Shatnerverse or one of the other ancient species.
