Proposing To Your SO...

I had this big fancy weekend planned at this posh inn in the Green Mountains of Vermont, with a gourmet food and wine tasting weekend included. I had it planned for then.

We were hanging out at home the previous weekend. It happened to be the anniversary of when we started dating. We didn't do anything special, just had a nice day spending time together. When we exchanged cards in the evening, I said screw the plan and grabbed the ring from my room and popped the question right in the living room.

It was on her birthday. Tickets to a Broadway show and then dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date. We got the same table and after dinner and before desert, I got on one knee and asked her " Will you do me the great honor of becoming my wife?" She started crying, everyone in the restaurant started clapping and the waitress brought over champagne.

The problem was she took a few minutes to answer me, because she was crying. I finally said, Will you answer me please? She laughed said yes, and our 17th anniversary is coming up.
