Proof Shatner wears a wig - first scene of him in "Miss Cong

The first scene of Bill Shatner with Candice Bergen in Miss Congeneality shows his forehead moving up and down, but his hairline staying in place while his forehead moves in and out of place of that hair piece.

His hairpiece looked more like one of those helmets wear you can see people crinkle there foreheads up and down in. Up and down. Up and down. In that hairpiece.

I guess he never took into the account the clearer resolution of DVDs...

It's widely known [except for you, I surmise] that Mr. Shatner's worn various hairpieces since the 60s. It's never stopped me from enjoying him in any professional capacity, and never would.

Unfortunately, what never seems to cease amazing me that people of goodwill in general fail to take into account the lengths others will go to embarass another simply for the point of doing it.

Embarassing them for valid reasons, not mere self-indulgence is another matter entirely, of course.:vulcan:

I know that.

This report is more of a "visual confirmation." ;)

Have you considered that the movie was suggesting that Shatner's character in the film was wearing a badly-fitted toupee? Wasn't he playing the aging judge of a beauty contest?

Re: Proof Shatner wears a wig - first scene of him in "Miss

* shrugs *

Wigs are no different than costumes or other make-up actors wear for their parts.

I have a "visual confirmation" of my own, but it doesn't have anything to do with any Shatner bearskin...

Shatner, hairpiece and all, still got more ass than a toilet seat back in the old days.

Is this another sitch like the Orson Welles as Unicron thread?

The Transformers was an animated program and a toyline used to sell toys to us kids back in the 80's.

...but by some bizarre, freak accident was given legitimacy by having the names of Orson Welles and Steven Spielberg attached firmly at the top of its 2 most memorable projects. :wtf:

I hear -- I have no firm proof -- that Shatner also wore make up. Mascara, blush -- the whole thing. And that Nimoy's pointed ears were not his own. And that the horta was actually a costume. But I don't believe that.

??????!!!!! You've destroyed everything I ever believed in. The foundation of my soul has been shaken. At least I can take heart in the fact that Deforest Kelly was really a doctor. ;)

No, the real doctor was George Clooney. He used to work for Mrs. Garrett and was Roseanne's boss until he started moonlighting as Batman. ;)

I find the whole line of thought behind this thread annoying.

I mean, the next thing you'll be telling us is that on TNG Patrick Stewart's hair wasn't his own!

:p

I don't mind that, but I cannot abide by the fake double-Ds and the taped-down, tucked in genitals.

The "man's" a menace!

I'm stuck between a Horta and a hard place.

True story.

After I knocked down a plastic hoe at a toy store a couple of years back I muttered to myself "If I wanted a real ho, I would have gone down to Las Vegas."

The kid didn't understand it. The dad sure did.
