The Doctor Who News Page is drawing attention to two new fanzines that have been recently launched: Panic Moon and Fish Fingers and Custard.
I immediately thought of the Doctor's retro statement "Bow Ties are Cool" when I saw that. Personally, I think it's fantastic that in this age where everything seems to be going digital there are still people willing to put the effort into creating something permanent like a fanzine. (Props to the Canadian Doctor Who Information Network for continuing to publish their own fanzine, Enlightenment, in print format, too.)
I think I'm going to order a copy of each of these, to show support for the format and fanzines in general. I find it ironic that, the stories, opinions, information in Panic Moon and Fish Fingers - even if they only do these single issues - will still be available to read 20 and 30 years from now, while its highly doubtful the same will hold true for the website reporting their publication!
