Prince of Persia '08

My local Target is selling this game $15 on clearance. Is it a good 'un? The reviews sound good. I like the cell-shading stuff, I thought Zelda Windwaker was absolutely gorgeous. I also like the idea of a ridiculously easy difficulty that doesn't penalize you for falling into a pit or something. And big boss battles. I've never played a PoP game before.

I really should try some of the new PoP games. They just don't make stuff as fun as The Shadow And The Flame anymore.....

Yeah it is a beautiful game. Can get repititive but like Assassins Creed. The graphics are amazing you just stop and the game takes your breath away. I really like the story too. Also for $15 you can't go wrong.

Yep, its worth it. I would actually say its a steal at that price and makes me wish I waited to get it considering Im not even half way into the game

Are they going to release a new Price of Persia game when the new movie comes out next year?

I didn't sleep for most of a weekend when I got this game, it's that much fun. I love going back to it to try and get more of the achievements, the game really is awesome.

I dig the soundtrack too, especially the song from the trailer.

^

Can be made quick like 15 hrs if you just plow through or long, if you collect these things called light seeds.

^^ I think this just a local clearance for my individual store. They were in a different pile with little red stickers on them, it wasn't a pre-printed sign or anything. But in any case, I bought it today! Will start playing tomorry.

One of my favourite games of 2008. While I can see how the gameplay would get repetitive for some people (it didn't for me), the game is just top notch. The graphics are awesome, the story is great, and I really liked both of the main characters. And that ending... wow... totally awesome.

There's an achievement for betting it in less than 12 hours, I think. But yeah, it's an easy game.

Though, the DLC makes the game considerably more difficult.

Naw. They purposely amped up the difficulty for the DLC to satisfy the "hardcore" gamers... which is good or bad, depending on how you look at it.

So I finally started playing the game after it sat on my bookshelf for several weeks. I love it! YOU CAN'T DIE! That is so awesome. Even in the boss fight you don't die, you get insta-ressurected and the boss gets a little life back. I love it. I hate any kind of challenge whatsoever I just want to have fun. The graphics aren't 360-amazing but are still gorgeous and the platforming is generally pretty fun, and the combat is easy and entertaining though I wish there was more of it! You can also save at any second, thank god. I hate when you only save at certain times.

It's worth the $15, but it does get too repetitive before long. I played for about eight hours and then got bored with it.

It's amazing at first, but then it gets repetitive. I think I played for 5 hours before I couldn't take doing the same thing and hearing the Prince and Farah v2.0 bicker over and over again. Strange enough Sands of Time didn't feel repetitive to me.

Personally I think the non-linearity of the game hurt it. The Sands of Time was able to tell a story and develop both main characters, but because you can choose the order in which to play the levels in the new game the game can't advance the plot or characters.

The ending is retarded. As in mentally deficient in every possible way. The characters are retarded. The story is retarded. The gameplay is retarded too.

I'm sorry, but if you liked that ending. . . I'm afraid you might be retarded.

You get an achievement if you can complete the game with her saving your life less than 100 times, keep that in mind.
