'Predator'y lust.

What did any of you who have seen Predators think of it? I like Robert Rodriguez, the trailers looked good, and it had an awesome cast, so I wanted to see it when it first came out, but after seeing the reviews from critics I decided to wait and get it on Blu-Ray from Netflix and I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I really enjoyed it, personally. I thought it worked great as a simple homage to the original which also introduced a neat new idea with the safari planet. It wasn't amazing or anything - the original is still the best. But the acting and characters were perfectly adequate for this kind of simple action movie, the characters fit nicely into the walking archetype style of the series and the creatures and the world around them all look cool. Also, I would watch Lawrence Fishburne read the phone book and I think this was probably the best non-comedic role Topher Grace has ever had.

Entertaining, but also really not a very good movie. It's one of those movies I watch when I have the house for myself, and I'm absolutely beyond the capacity of watching high quality entertainment. So I grab some beers, a bag of chips and watch movies like Predators. Or AvP. Horrible stuff that makes me smile. I'm a snob, but I also don't take myself to seriously.

No way, Highlander Endgame has them beat. They specifically filmed several shots (Including SPFX) that were created solely for the trailer and were never part of the film itself in any way. That beats a few added dots hands-down.
