Preacher - AMC TV Show - Discussion Thread

That was an interesting finale.
I wonder what will happen with Hitler being back out in the world.
Tulip probably won't be staying dead.
Cassidy killing Denis was unexpected.
So did Jesse leaving to go help Tulip and Cassidy put an end to him becoming the new messiah?

With this show I wouldn't be shocked if two of your questions were answered with Hitler becoming the new messiah. I think Tulip will survive but I wonder if she will be a zombie, only one who can still speak and think like a normal human. I do hope they leave New Orleans. I would like it if the show was set in a different city ever year or country or heck why not do a season in heaven or hell. We saw hell this past season so I would like to see what heaven is like. DO they also have holodeck style rooms as well only giving people happy experiences?

I can't remember if they said whether or not it will be set there, but I did read that production for next season will be staying in New Orleans.
I wouldn't mind seeing Heaven.

I'm not sure if I should use this thread or not, but here goes...

Anyone else catch the Season 3 Premier this past weekend? It's also available on the AMC app if anyone wants to catch it. I watched it and it's just as stylish and bizarre as one would expect from Preacher. They added a ton of new characters in Jesse's 'family'. I don't want to toss a bunch of spoilers in here if few others have seen it.

Anyone else?

*Bueller? ......... Bueller?*

Hubby and I watched it. I thought it set up a lot of great possibilities for the season.

I like that the Tulip/Cassidy relationship is out in the open now; that should have big repercussions among the 3 Preacherteers.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the characters fare with what looks to be dark, strange and depressing things to come.

I loved Seth Rogen awkwardly trying to explain to the audience and Colbert what is happening on Preacher that really makes you realize how much we take the craziness for granted. :) (starts 2mins in)

As to the latest episode, I've become kind of fond of doG/God.

Just watched the first two episodes this morning and we're off to a good start.
Jessie's family are definitely creepy, and seem like they should be good villains for the season.
With both them, and Tulip's time in Purgatory these two episodes have given us some nice insights into just how those two ended up the way they are.
So I guess it looks like doG does not approve The Grail. I love the business card with The Grail: Secret Orginization on it.

It took me couple days, but I was able to watch all of the two hour premiere, and we're off to a great start before.
The opening withe God wiping out the dinosaurs after one eats it's own shit was hilarious. I ended up falling asleep shortly before the end of the first hour so I watched the second episode by itself online, and was surprised to see that was actually the opening scene of that one, not the first.
I wasn't to surprised Featherstone was promoted to a regular this season, but I was surprised to see God and Humperdoo were also promoted.
Poor Cas, they picked a hell of a way to torture a guy.
I saw Lani Tupu from Farscape in the guest star credits, but I didn't recognize him anywhere.
I was surprised to see God and Herr Star working together, that can't be good for Jesse and co.
Did Star use what I think he used for his new ear?
Poor Jesse was definitely having some seriously bad luck during his trip to the airport.

Yes, what replaced his ear was exactly what you thought it was.

I was wondering why they seemed to be saving them.

I loved Tulip in the car chase; that was pretty clever: a Chevelle ( I think?) fighting off an army of Fiats.

Yeah, that was pretty good, and the reactions of Featherstone and the other guy with her priceless. I knew the moment they showed the unconcious blond that it was Tulip in her wig.
