For anyone who has never figured this out, if you have trouble peeling bananas, stop trying to pull the bit at the top. Flip it upside-down and pinch the other end. It'll open right up for you to peel.

Good point plus its an extremely stupid idea,to peel the bananas and shove them on a styrofoam plate wrapped in plastic.

I have the perfect solution: create a line of individually-wrapped bananas where the wrapping mimics a natural skin, except there's an easy-open style perforation (like on pre-packed sandwiches where you pull on a tab to tear the pack open) that lets you open the banana easily & perfectly, every time.

I bet you it would sell!

So lets see nature has come up with a good way of keeping a banana fresh a skin, the beauty of this is if you buy a bunch banana's and you only want one, the rest will stay fresh for a while. However some bright spark thought I can do better, and decided to sell them unwrapped. Even if they are processed in a controlled atmosphere, as soon as that packet is open the contents will start to deteriorate.

And for the pleasure of them being pre-opened for me, with more packaging to cause waste I'll be charged more.

You can get banana fritters in most fish and chip shops here.. banana dipped in batter and deep fried.

This is just a more delicious and possibly healthier step if you grill your banana in bacon foil.

Not that I can think of any fruits that sound better sitting for a few days with the skin peeled, but bananas would not be at the top of my list.
