Prayers please..

This is so heartbreaking. I was not able to see the report on CheckNews, but I got the gist. I can only hope someone can be found to be a stem cell donor for Hannah, I myself am too old to donate. But their is someone out there who could save this young girls life.

My dear thoughts and hopes for her recovery.

I'm too old too but, but I applied I don't know why there is an age restriction?

Maybe this link will work.

Post from Brooke; I love the saying what goes around comes around as I believe it truly happens and it makes this world such an amazing place .

The other day I was driving downtown on Blanchard about to take a left turn on hillside and there was a pan handler on the side of the road . I rolled down my window and gave him all the change I had . He looks at me and says he recognizes me from somewhere . I don't think anything of it and just assume he was trying to make conversation . The light turned green and as I went to drive away he yells out . " I wish your little girl all the best and I was at the swab drive getting tested for her " . I had no time to think as I drove through the light . I instantly got goose bumps and knew he really did recognize me and if he did what he said he did then we both just paid it forward to each other without knowing . He helped me out and then here I am handing him change to help him out and neither of us knew at the time we were doing a good deed for each other . I think this is an amazing story .

I'm so frustrated and sad . My poor kid has been in hospital in victoria for 10 days for unexplained fevers . Hannah is on every antibiotic possible to fight everything and finally when a new fungal antibiotic came into place her fevers stopped . We have been waiting for Monday to come which has seemed to take forever to hear if any fungus is growing her in lungs . Clinically she looks so great and we were hoping to go home very soon then tonight Hannah spikes another fever after being 4 days fever free . Now no one knows what to do . Back to square one . This kid is such a mystery and keeps all doctors on their toes . She complained of a headache and then spiked a fever . Seems like Hannah's hospital days will never end and I'm dreading transplant won't happen . It would be heart breaking to think we would have to choose palliative because she has something simple like a viral infection . We are missing something I just know it ....

Here is an update from May 6th 2014
Update From Brooke; Big celebration today . Hannah's bone marrow biopsy shows zero traces of leukaemia . Her chimerism came back 100 percent my stem cells and we are being discharged today ! We are not out of the water yet and can not return to our Victoria home but this is the best news we can ask for . Day 48 and 52 to go before we will be Victoria bound . We are going to get chocolate wasted !!!

News like this make my day..

:censored: cancer

Hannah's expression is one of strength and defiance as if telling the big C don't mess with me I'll kick your Ass.

What wonderful news! It's always great to see people beat life-threatening diseases.

Just thought I'd share this update, sh'es still fighting it.
at one point there was consideration of injecting here with a Modified HIV virus, to try and save her..

Anyhow

Thought I share this beautiful picture of Little Hannah at a Family outing.
her mother Brooke added the poem by Lorna Mahan

Walking on the Edge of Life

The world keeps moving forward
as time stands still for me,
I am the kid with Cancer,
locked in battle to be free.
For all us kids on chemo
our lives are put on hold,
As we fight to stay alive,
our chances good were told.
Our attitude is courage
we live this life each day,
Just waiting for tomorrow,
praying cancer goes away.
Walking on the edge of life
We’re never looking down,
United here in front of you,
until a cure is found.

No wonder she was so amazed..
Craigdarroch Castle
I never knew such a place existed here..
