Powerful non-opioid Pain Killer hiding in plain sight

It will seem bizarre at first, but it's true: bed bug bites.

Here are the details about how we discovered this:

We moved into a new apartment several months ago. Our apartment is not infested with bed bugs. But we heard from the grapevine that other apartments in the complex had problems. We ended up getting a few 'strays'....about half a dozen since we have been here. My wife has fibromyalgia, with chronic pain in her back, neck, right leg, etc. The first bed bug that we encountered bit her on the right leg. She has not had ANY pain in that leg since, and it has been a few months now. She was having pain in her right arm. Then came a bed bug bite. Pain gone. The third time was her back. Same thing. They seem to prefer extracting blood near the site of pain. We were able to do a test. My wife had a cut on her knuckle that was sore. I found a bed bug that morning. We put the bug on her arm near the wrist. That bug marched right up her hand to near the cut, but not in it, and started drawing blood. When it was done, the pain from the cut was gone.

There have been no serious side-effects for my wife. A bit of itching, that goes away, nothing more.

They seem particular about body chemistry. They will crawl right over me and not bite me. So, for right now, I am out of luck as far as my degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis and the pain caused by that.

If medical science were to seriously study this, maybe something could be done to extract this powerful pain killer for the benefit of everyone.

So this is entirely anecdotal, based on the experience of one person, without any scientific evidence whatsoever to lend credence to this theory? (Yes, I Googled, to see if I could find *anything*, and I could not. But I did get to look at some fairly disturbing images, so thank you for that.)

To make matters worse, some people can apparently experience allergic reactions to bed bug bites. If anyone were to try your supposed pain cure, it could actually affect them quite negatively.

It seems extremely irresponsible to allow this thread to continue, so I am closing it. Further, I implore anyone who sees this who may be suffering from pain, to not attempt this.

Please do not post unsubstantiated medical suggestions like this again.
