Power Rangers Episode Guide?

Frontier

Vice Admiral
Admiral
So I've been watching the modern Samurai Rangers with my 5 year old nephew, and he's been wanting to see "my" Power Rangers, and now the only question is of what episodes to show him. Basically, I'm looking at the overall arc material. The green ranger stuff, the Lord Zedd arrival, so on. But it's been forever since I've watched such, so I don't know exactly which episodes contain such.

Anyone know of a good episode guide?

I'm going to go through pretty much from the pilot to Turbo, but I want to cover the best stuff really, rather than all of it.

I only found out the other day that Samurai is shot in New Zealand. Never knew.

Power Rangers has been shot in New Zealand since 2003 -- every season from Ninja Storm onward. Which is why so many of the supposedly American Rangers and supporting characters have poorly disguised Kiwi accents.

Having the location at New Zealand apparently allows them to hire better actors. Not that you could tell from the bunch in Samurai.

The mix of good to mediocre actors has remained pretty consistent over the years, I'd think. Although the reason for moving production to NZ was to save money, since production costs and the like are lower there, so maybe proportionately higher-caliber actors are more affordable. (And RPM did have the most consistently strong cast in the entire franchise.) In the case of Samurai, though, the reason for the weak cast is because the production wasn't willing to pay enough to get more experienced actors (or so I'm told).

if you want a brief overview of the zordon era than check out "Linkara's history of power rangers". he does an overview of each "series" and shows some highlights of various episodes. he's currently up to the dino-thunder series.

Watching Linkara's retrospective on the Power Rangers to determine the important episodes is a good idea. Other than that, just watch "Day of the Dumpster" and all the multi-part episodes. Those are usually the only episodes that are plot significant. "Green With Evil" will hook any kid.

You know what I've only realized in recent years?

Everyone in my 5th grade class watched Power Rangers, and not one of us would admit it to another under penalty of death. LOL.

It's only now, years later, so many people talking about watching such at 10 and 11, that I realize such.

For some reason though, in my school, it was a dire secret. Because Power Rangers was "for babies" or something... lol.
