Power Race

Just thinking...
I wouldn't mind if ST delved into defining a clearly more powerful race (ie. Metrones, Organians, Prophets, etc), that would create and enforce a different world order in THEIR galaxy. The race will not be expansionist, nor evil, nor have military aspirations. So no Borg/Dominion/Species8472, etc. Not smug, nor full of their superiority. People living in their galaxy are prosperous and happy. The race is just different, and expects full true mutual respect.

If you went to that galaxy, you would navigate under a different set of rules that may not align with the Federation. As opposed to having the one off courtroom episodes, this would be something more consistent.

Also say the Federation could not cut themselves off from said galaxy and had to go there, whether for trade purposes, exploration, or maybe said race deems anybody that cuts their galaxy off would have repercussions. I don't know, Warp travel won't work anymore in your own galaxy (pick any knob here that can range from minor inconvenience, to outright punishment).

Said race also interacts in Federation space and fully respects and complies with Federation law as well.

A simple example...
Say they have laws about capital punishment, and after whatever legal mechanisms, you would have to implement it. So in a situation, Federation ship in said galaxy, would have to execute capital punishment.

Ultimately this leads to an entirely new relationship that hasn't been done before. Usually super powerful races just stay away from humans, interact infrequently, randomly (ie. the Qs), and tend to be submissive.
