'Potter' Actor Busted

Or Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon. That'd be a pretty good story. Yup yup.

Plus, he's a meaningless also-ran.

Now if it were Rupert Grint or Robbie Coltrane, that would be news.

 Well, I think this news is more significant than the one about a "Harry Potter" stunt actor being injured.

Cannabis arrest... Serious back injury

I know which I'd rather have.

To be arrested for cannabis possession he must have either had a fuckload of the stuff or been caught before so a warning was no longer an option. Little sympathy in either case, really.

ETA: OK, once one actually reads the article it becomes clear ;) Must remember that in future

"Officers found a number of plants believed to be cannabis plants and equipment for cultivation. Both men have been bailed until July pending further inquiries and tests on the substances."

That'll be why - he's being charged for cultivation of cannabis, quite a different story to jsut owning a bit of pot for personal use.

By the way, the article's pretty funny:
"Scotland Yard busted the actor"
 I think the term is 'Metropolitan Police' - he's not Osama Bin Laden.

I hope they give him the death penalty.

Tis truly a horrible crime in this day and age of nuclear warfare, bio-chemical attack, suicide bombing, etc.

Jamie Waylett has put the "pot" on Potter.

The 19-year-old Brit, who plays wizardly bully and Draco Malfoy wingman Vincent Crabbe in the blockbuster franchise, was arrested in London on Thursday on suspicion of possessing cannabis.

I hope they give him the death penalty.

See, this is why I need to get to these forums earlier in the day, 'cause that sounds like just the kind of thing I'd have said. :guffaw:

It's really just as stupid in the end though.

God, I love headlines like this.

'POTTER' ACTOR HAS DEATH WISH!!!

Bob Smith, third guy on the right in a dinner scene from either the third or fourth Harry Potter film, was arrested for jaywalking.

OMG!!!

Not POT!!!!!!!!

Oh my GOD! Why can't he get his highs and thrills through something more benign? Like alcohol?

More time wasted by cops who should be going after real criminals. :scream:
It is a real crime and he is a real criminal if proved true. Just because you don't agree with the law, that doesn't make it imaginary.

It may not make the law imaginary, but it also doesn't make an idiotic law any less idiotic.
Same response applies: Just because you don't agree with the law, that doesn't make it imaginary or idiotic.

Doesn't make it noble, just or fair because "it's the law".

It makes anyone who breaks that particular law an idiot, particularly if they're aware of the law. If you don't like a law, fight to have it changed or, if you're extremely opposed to it, move to a place where it isn't an issue. Breaking it just because you think it makes you cool is beyond pathetic, and it certainly doesn't make you noble or just, and it most assuredly doesn't make you fair next to everyone else who follows said law(s). It just makes you a loser who deserves everything you get.
