Yes, it's an official image. It goes with the new game mentioned in this column and in this TrekToday article and was discussed in this thread, among others.

A couple of other things about that image, though: first, it's much too large -- 1416x1800 and a hair over 1100 Kb -- when TrekBBS policy concerning images asks that you limit images to dimensions of 640x480 and filesize no larger than 70K, under ordinary circumstances. Second, it's not on webspace belonging to you; it's hotlinked, and in doing so you're using someone else's bandwidth (costs money, that) to display an image here, which is considered poor form.
