Another shallow dream.
I knew I was in bed mind you—watching a TV at the foot of my bed…a television I actually don’t have upstairs.
Though I live far inland, the forecast called for inland waterspouts.
I looked outside and could only see middle segments of them all over the sky.
Every so often, the trees would flex and leaves would circle in my room—and some spray later.
That was how I knew one of the dozens were passing overhead.
I wanted to get up to look out the window—but felt leaden…I managed to look out a window to see a thunderhead that looked more like St. Helen’s eruption column…and sharply drooping mammatus almost touching the ground a kilometer out or so.
A great flow of wind came in, and somehow my bedclothes grew in mass and like an amoeba, grew and flowed across the wall with me with it.
I woke to the fan…dropped off again…..this time dreaming I was in a ramshackle house.
My Dad was dead but thought my Mother was still alive but sick somewhere.
I awoke…time to go to work.
