Last night's dream was pretty dark. I was some kind of spy or cop in a futuristic world where everything was built-up like in Blade Runner or something. A nameless terror group was carrying out deadly attacks on Buddhist institutions. I met up with a colleague who resembled some guy I used to work with in real life. We were trying to find a place where we could lay low in safety and come up with a game plan to strike the terrorists.
We were near this ridiculously huge university, and I remembered that I had some intelligence indicating that their Department of Buddhist Studies was locked down like a fort, impenetrable and invulnerable to any violent attack. My colleague kept insisting that this was incorrect, and that it wasn't safe and it was probably too late already. But I insisted, so we made our way there. We entered a huge corridor which led to our destination. It was grandiose, with extremely high ceilings like a cathedral. As we ran down this corridor, it turned out my colleague was right, as we came across more and more dead bodies strewn about. Finally at the very end of the corridor, we came up to the massive doorway leading to our destination. It had a huge chunk blown out of it, and plumes of smoke were spewing out of the gaping hole. In front of this, there was a big pile of rubble and even more corpses. I woke up at this point.
