My car picked me. We had hit up like 5 different lots and it was toward the end of the day. We were at a Toyota dealership and there was an 04 Corolla. The really bland style of Corolla. It didn't do anything for me, but it was within our price range, so i was ready to settle for it.
I wasn't feeling it so my brother asked me if i wanted to head to the Nissan dealership across the street. I was ready to declare the day a wash so i said why not? At first, nothing caught my eye. Then i saw her. She was just parked there, unassuming. But i kept turning my head to look at her. Eventually, the dealer noticed and asked if i wanted to test drive her. I said yes, and fell in love after that first drive.
She knew she was gonna go home with me, she just needed to get my attention. It's been almost 2 years now, and i love her to death. Never failed me.

Then how can you post a pictre of a car that just looks like Sally instead of her? If someone asks you what your girlfriend looks like, instead of showing an actual photo would you point to some woman on the street and say "my girlfriend looks like her"?

As far as I'm concerned, in Italian we don't have a neutral "It" like some other languages do, so every single word has a gender.
A car is female in Italian: la macchina, l'automobile.
Sometimes I forget and I express myself in English like I would in Italian, which usually makes mothertongue English-speaking people laugh at best and at worst.

I haven't named mine yet . . . my Jeep was red, so Brick was an obvious choice . . . but the new one nothing's jumping out at me.
It's white so it kinda reminds me of a stormtrooper, but they have horrible aim and have no sense of self preservation

The discs are Brembo Max (slotted), the pads are EBC Red Stuff, the calipers are original, I only painted them red and put the white Seat Sport decal on them.
All part of the "tweaking" I was mentioning.
It sure helps stop the car in a better, faster, safer way, I can assure you.

Well halfway right. According to some people I shouldn't like brakes since I like American cars, but I do. Brembos are good stuff in all it's forms.

I still think that's a sexy ride. Could probably not drive it though because of the sunroof.



As for car genders, I decide that when I get a feel for the car. My Saab is a girl. Not much power at low revs but once you get her revved up she has a mean growl!

Personally I find the girl-as-car metaphor more disturbing than the car-as-girl metaphor. I tried thinking about it one day and the whole comparison dissolved when I tried to figure out why the ignition was so close to the exhaust.
