post nemeses books

I had previously read the destiny trilogy and the titan books (at least up to destiny). I found myself a little lost with some of the characters at this point with not reading the other post nemeses books since I know that the TNG books dealt with "re-introducing" the Borg.

I am trying to read all books from nemeses to the fall books by using this as a guide, my question is what's people's general opinion on the series overall as I have not read any TNG books post the films and are there any that I really don't have to read (like does articles of the federation need to be read or is it a stand alone I know it's a politics book but will I loose anything by not reading it?)

If it's TNG that you are following then the series splits into both the TNG and Titan series. Titan follows Riker and Troi, now married on the Titan (as mentioned in "Star Trek: Nemesis"), with the first two books continuing the Romulan Empire storyline from the film. The TNG books start with "Death In Winter" that also picks up on the Romulan Empire thread, but also picks up on a storyline from the series. "Resistance" starts the lead up to what occurs with the Borg in Destiny.

"Articles Of The Federation" is a stand-alone, however it picks up on the Romulan Empire thread and many more political threads.

But really the best way to read the books is in published order.

You'll lose out on a terrific reading experience, which is the most important thing. But it establishes and develops a lot of characters and ideas that carry through into subsequent novels. It's no more "essential" than any other book, but it's one of the foundational works of the post-Nemesis continuity.

OK I will give articles of the federation a go when I get to it.

So far I have read:
A death in winter
Taking Wing
Red king (part way through)

Then I will go with:
Resistance
Articles of the Federation
Q&A
Before Dishonour/Orion's Hounds (whichever I feel like reading first at the time.
Greater than the sum/Sword of Damocles (Ditto)

It probably makes a tiny bit more sense to read Articles before Resistance. Otherwise that looks good.

After Destiny, you really want to read them all. The only ones that are unconnected to the rest are the Voyager books, but they're (for my money) far and away the best post-Destiny novels, and really shouldn't be missed. Even if you weren't a Voyager fan.

I figured I'd ask this question here, since it relates to the post-nemesis stuff. I've got quite the backlog of books. I've read everything up to Destiny. I own everything up to The Fall series. Are there any good sites out there that give good synopses to the books? I was going to be jumping into TNG: Losing the Peace after I finish the two Seekers books. But I just don't recall everything that happened.

Is there any particular reason as to why if falls before resistance?

Actually Articles spans the whole of 2380. Parts 1 & 2 are before Resistance; part 3 is more or less between Resistance and Before Dishonor; part 4 is between BD and Greater Than the Sum; and parts 5 & 6 are concurrent with GTTS. Although really GTTS is the only one of those books that references events from AotF directly.

Your list is good but i think even if you didn't liked the first VOYAGER books you should have give the order, especially because in DESTINY there is the chapter with Chakotay and he will get confused like i did .

I have in fact read those books so I vagly remember stuff, it was not on my list to read this time otherwise I would have to consider the DS9 relaunch stuff to when they bring in sisco and Bashir in later books. I basically drew the line somewhere.

Oh I have just remembered there may be a couple of enterprise books I may have to read before destiny too I would probably do it right before destiny if only for captain hernandez.

The thing is, those four novels are set pre-Nemesis, so they don't go on a list of post-NEM fiction any more than the A Time to... series or the DS9 post-finale books.

Also, the duology is Spirit Walk.
