Post a Random Fact About Yourself

I hate the sound of my own voice.

Seriously. I don't know how people can stand listening to me talk and NOT punch me in the throat.

It would help if, when I speak, others heard the same voice that *I* hear, but of course that's not possible. :sigh:

Its a normal trait
No one likes the sound of their own voice, especially in a recording

That changes after you've heard hundreds of hours of recording of your voice, you start to like it. Maybe also because of the feedback that it procures you, you learn how to modify your voice to make it more agreeable. Same goes for how you look on camera.

Ive got loads of recorded work stored, and I still don't like my own voice.

If you think antisemitism is "outdated 3 generations ago", clearly you have not only not been paying attention to the past, but to the present as well.
I remember a series of posts from a few years back when rhubarbodendron opined that World War II/the Holocaust was a long time ago and the Jews should "just stop talking about it."

As you might imagine, that didn't go over well with the rest of the people in that conversation. As long as there are victims still alive, as well as their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren (people born in the lifetimes of the people victimized during the '30s and '40s), people are not going to "stop talking about it" - nor should they. Keeping those memories alive is part of what horrifies people enough to want to prevent it from ever happening again.

I'm evil.
I'm sorry to hear that.

While things like that should be challenged when they come up, it sounds like in this case, it was. I'm not really sure it's appropriate to be rehashing past incidents here.

On this, though, we agree. Some things should never be forgotten.
