Possible light spoilers for TLJ. Rey's lightsaber in Ep. IX?

So, how do you think it will look? Anakin's lightwaber was destroyed after the tug of war with Kylo Ren. My personal thought is that this would be a cool film to showcase lightsaber construction. Since JJ is coming back, I'm assuming that he's going to somehow incorporate Anakin's blade into the new lightsaber.

My thought is that Rey gets a double blade to complement her skills with the staff. I'm saying blue on one end (for Anakin) and green on the other. This would make the fights easier to follow.

Since Luke doesn't need his anymore, maybe it'll be a double blade, half being Luke's green RotJ saber, along with half being of Rey's design.

I think variety would be nice, but I think Rey would end up having a sentimental attachment to that color.

Sure. Although at least with a double blade it wouldn't be all samey. And since she uses a staff alread a double-bladed one makes sense.

It really doesn't. Fighting with a staff is totally different from fighting with a double-bladed sword. As cool as it looks, Maul's weapon just isn't that practical.

Personally, I voted for a blue saber-staff made out of the remains of Anakin's hilt & parts of her staff. That seems to make the most sense from a storytelling and visual distinctiveness POV.

Purple seems iconic to Mace Windu and other advanced Jedi Masters.

I'm surprised that nobody has done hue shifting yet that glows in brightness to the music playing in the background...

I like green but people would complain that it would be a rehash of ROTJ... well obviously people will complain anyway, so yeah, green!

Given that Rey ended up with the two remaining pieces of the broken light saber, I'd expect the next one to look a whole lot like the original Anikin one. Kyber crystals don't grown on trees, so I'd expect that to be reused in building a replacement. So, in short, a blue bladed light saber with a different looking cylindrical hilt.
