Just a quick question. I'm relatively new to forums so I was wondering, why is it good form? What's the difference? No sarcasim intended, just trying to understand the dynamics of the system.

Two reasons, really.

The first is that people have used it in the past to artificially inflate their post count. That's not so much a problem these days - posters don't seem as concerned with it.

The second and more important reason is that experience has shown that multiple-posting disrupts the flow of threads. So we encourage combining points to smooth discussion.

Sorry our rules and guidelines aren't more obvious - we're working on an update at the minute to be published in the near future!
