I guess I was trying to be generous to George in trying not to see the clumsy soap opera elements being introduced into what was already a horrible botch of a story.

But sure, let's hammer that final nail in the coffin. :rommie: Lucas screwed up the PT in every conceivable way, including turning it into Days of Our Lives.

You can say that all you want, but it'll never be true.

If you can't provide documentation showing that Lucas and Filoni designed TCW as an alternate continuity, that's because such a thing was never said anywhere. It's nothing more than wishful thinking. Things aren't "true" just because you want them to be.

And it's getting less true all the time.

:guffaw: Depreciating in trueness! And yet somehow when the series ends without redoing ROTS, it'll be 100% true all over again... imagine that.

The novelization worked better in explaining his turn than the movie or the cartoons ever did.

Is it consistent with what The Clone Wars is doing, or is it yet another explanation altogether?

They don't have to say it, they're showing it, every week, in a TV series called The Clone Wars that you might have heard of. And of course LucasFilm isn't going to issue a press release admitting that the PT was a horrible botch job and they're busy cleaning up their mess. I'm sure everyone at LucasFilm wants to keep their jobs.

And maybe they're not cleaning it up so much as just telling the story they want to tell, right here and right now, and if some things don't mesh, oh well. I'm just as happy to forget the PT ever existed, or see it merely as vague inspiration for an interesting TV series. If they're not going to worry about making the stories synch up, why should I?

Is this the same series where the clone trooper designs were advanced to match the ones in ROTS? I wonder why they did that? They don't say TCW is an alternate continuity because it's not an alternate continuity. They've already said otherwise. They've said from the beginning that the show leads up to ROTS.

Being the novelization of ROTS, it is consistent with ROTS. The Clone Wars isn't rewriting ROTS.
