Poll: Which DS9 Opening Theme Do You Prefer?

DS9 Theme Preference

I like them both, and voted as such. The slower, more epic theme from the early seasons fits the show as it was: full of wonder, novelty, exploring a new area of the galaxy, contacting strange new life forms. The later theme also fits the show as it was then: a harder edge, more activity, more attention. Rather than a sparse corner of the Federation, it's now the flash point for the entire galaxy.

I'd go for the version from Seasons 1-3 - it feels all lonesome and majestic, which is very appropriate, I think.

I like the Voyager,TNG and TOS themes better than either, though.

Definitely the older one. I think it could've been sped up successfully, but should've gotten a little darker. As it was, the old one was majestic, but I think you could sense a bit of that brooding darkness in it. That was lost with the newer version.

I like the faster one. I really like the added ships and other details, showing the station being a busy and active place, it just looks more alive.

I liked the newer one personally. The old intro just seemed a little bland and the music was a little distant.... It was a space station by a wormhole after the first two episodes, yet it was just flashes of the station and it's all dull.

...... like "oooo, look at how weird our station is." Kinda cool the first couple of times, but then it gets kind of boring.

Then when they revised it a bit, there were more sounds in the background, the music just had more life to it, the station was alive, not just inside, but outside as well. People upgrading and welding, ships coming and going..... The defiant making it's way to the wormhole and actually providing a visual reason why the wormhole opened and then closed..... where in the older one, it just seemed to open and close just to show off.

The old intro gives me a vision of the station before it's Dominion upgrades...... all puny and weak, and then with the new intro and the more ballzier music....... WHICH POUNDS INTO YOUR KLINGON HEARTS WITH THE POWER OF A RI'GILLIAN SPEAR HORNET!!!!

IT IS GLORIOUS AND TELLS OF MANY GREAT STORIES OF BATTLE AND HONOR!!!!!

BLAAAAAA.... *smashes food tray over head*...... I SHALL HAVE THE HEAD OF THAT WEAKLING WHO FAILED TO INFORM ME ABOUT THOSE UPGRADES!!!!!

*pouts sadly but still with those beady eyes staring*

4-7... faster, more stuff to see... isn't that the one with the guy fixing the station? I liked that. :)

Step away from the Raktajino and sit down, and do some Vulcan meditation
