Gorns seem to get a lot of attention for doing nothing. Especially as there are plenty of other lizard type species in Trek.

Cardassians. They got more fleshed out as a culture later in DS9 and are less stereotypical bad guys. As opposed to the honor-loving warrior culture of the Klingons the Cardassians were militaristic due to their fascist government, which is more relatable to the real world I think. Plus they gave us Dukat, Damar, and Garak.

I'm surprised Cardassians got more votes than Klingons. Klingons are more stereotypical for Star Trek. Even non-Trekkies know what a Klingon is.

That said, my favorites are Vulcans and Romulans. Though I do like the Gorn...

You should read "Spock's World" by Diane Duane. It makes Vulcans very interesting.

I just like Vulcans, almost all my fanfic has one among the main characters. My favourite of the species is Tuvok.

Tuvok was an excellent Vulcan however.

I love the Andorians as well, they were one of the things that ENT did right--bringing them back and making them badass! I would love to see one in the next series.
