POLL: Favorite Episode

ah yes, shuttlepod one.. by FAR the best ep up to dead stop.... by FAR... but i still say a few eps in season 2 have it beat (although it's prob'ly still #2 on my top ten list :))

Carbon Creek was great, as was Dead Stop, Minefield, Cease Fire, Judgment, The Andorian Incident, Singularity, The Catwalk and Silent Enemy.

With Shuttlepod One in First place that about rounds up my Top Ten :)

^ i would have to say my top ten is future tense, shuttlepod one (and the rest in no particular order), dead stop, singularity, cogenitor, the catwalk, the andorian incident, silent enemy, breaking the ice, and cold front

Future Tense, Cogenitor and Breaking The Ice are all up there but just missed out on Top Ten spots.

While I enjoyed Cold Front, the more you watch it the less sense it makes in terms of motivations for FG, Silik & Daniels. Why did FG tell Silik to save the ship and would Daniels have saved it if Silik hadn't. It's hard to get a handle on who was doing what and why in that episode and the crew were just basically pulled along for the ride.

In "Future Tense", while they were still somewhat pulled along for the ride at least Archer makes the decision in that episode that he's not going to do that anymore. A choice to become more pro-active in the war is the nail on which to hang the rest of the episode on - so it works better.

Just my opinion :)

personally this is what had me so intrigued.. and still does... it is the most interesting asdpect of that episode... we don't KNOW for sure... we haven't been spoon-fed all the answers... it leaves a mystery that we have to either solve by ourselves or wait on an answer for.... i personally was left wondering "well, ok.. who really IS the bad guy here?" and i still say that there's more to ALL these folks than anyone is letting on... and i want to know what... all because of this ep....

just my two cents :)

IMO, Enterprise hasn't had a really standout episode yet, so I found it difficult to choose.

Anyway, I picked "Dead Stop" because it's the only episode that really had that "strange new worlds" feeling to it.
Runner-ups: Future Tense, Cease Fire, Broken Bow.

Shuttlepod One for the wonderful acting and character work by CT and DK.

Second choice: Broken Bow. I thought there was never a dull moment in it and I loved the way they introduced each new character. The sense of excitement and wonder still gets me.

I voted for The Catwalk. It wasn't perfect, but this was one of the few episodes that I actually enjoyed. Archer's actions and reactions were appropiate. It was good seeing him go up against an intelligent villian. I liked the way they utilized Travis in this episode. I really enjoy ensemble episodes, it's nice seeing the crew respond like professionals. The exception was Reed's whinning which seemed a bit excessive and somewhat out of character.

My fav. is Future Tense because of the awsome action sequences and the return of the Tholians.

Current Standings:

1. Shuttlepod One 13% (6 votes)
2. (tied)The Andorian Incident 9% (4 votes)
(tied)Carbon Creek 9% (4 votes)
(tied)The Expanse 9% (4 votes)
5. Dead Stop 6% (3 votes)

Gotta admit, I'm kinda surprised by "Carbon Creek"'s performance. What does it say about the show that so many people's favorite episode is the one that has the least to do with the characters we see every week?

My vote went to "Cogenitor." Not only did it raise an interesting question, but it presented a compelling dilemma in the different reactions of Trip and Archer. I didn't see the ending coming, and there wasn't an "easy out" in this one. Great stuff.

A very tough decision. There have been so many that have been very close in my mind. Regeneration was very exciting all the way through and Cease Fire was also very good storytelling just to name a few. I had expected The Expanse to knock my socks off but a little too much was just setup for next season so I don't know if it would be my favorite or not.

Dear Doctor - an episode with a thought provoking plot, and an ending that's not generic and happy.

I concur. Also, I like the interpersonal dynamics at work in this episode: the interactions between Archer and Phlox ("My passion guides my judgment"), Phlox and Cutler, Cutler and Hoshi, the self-righteous indignation of Cutler and Hoshi and Phlox's gentle chastisement of it, and so forth.
