Do you use Browser Add-Ons like No Script or something similar? I had to deactivate it to see the cover choices.
The book's not out yet. You may be thinking of something else?
I could be wrong, but my interpretation is that @Bry_Sinclair likes the artworks on their own, but that they don't transport a "Strange New Worlds" feeling for him.
The content of the pictures themselves was what I was meaning. I can't fault the work itself, but it just seems a little...'uninspired' (can't think of a good way to really describe it) for an anthology of short fan stories. It's a difficult cover to do, given that stories can be of pretty much any series/era, but these both seem to tie it down too much to being just about the TOS time-frame, unless of course this SNW had the restriction to just be stories from then (seeing as how, as a non-US resident, I am forbidden from entering I never did look too intently at the rules of the competition) in which case they'd suit it quite well.
Probably not making much sense, but it's a difficult thing to try and explain to those outside my own head.

), I wasn't going to worry too much about it.I voted for the Enterprise cover. But really, the Enterprise cover looks like a crop from one of the Remastered episodes while the boxy TOS shuttle doing high-air acrobatics does not impress me, nor did it impress me on the calendar.
