To be fair to Dennis, I NEVER scheduled all day for the fight. I'd scheduled about 4 hours for it (1/3rd of the shoot day), and 4 hours for the scene that follows the fight and the rest of the day for Garrett miscellany. As it turned out, we moved stuff from Sunday's schedule to Saturday, which forced us to squeeze more hard stuff into Sunday.
And also to be fair, I didn't direct the fight. I did work with our D.P.--Alex--to suggest camera coverage for the climactic scene. When it came time to shoot the flight, really, the actors had worked it all out. All I did was tell Alex to call the shots and let the actors do their thing. As usual, my job was just to try to get everyone everything they need and push push push people to get stuff done.
