Pluto to regain status as ninth planet...?

The problem is, the Voyager plaque features 9 planets. If it's really that hard for US to determine what's a planet and what's not, how the hell are aliens supposed to determine what the hell we meant? When they look at our solar system, they'll find at least a dozen bodies as big a Pluto.

That's a rather serious problem. Particularly given that the Voyagers have no plaque. And given that the orbital periods of the planets on the plaque, and the coordinates of the Solar system on the records and plaque are specified exactly and difficult to mistake by any intelligent beings that come across them.

Come to think of it, that is more likely to be a problem.

And the nudity. What if children discover the plaque?

First, I wasn't being serious, second it's the Pioneer plaque then, my ass, err, my bad, and third, I doubt the value of the plaque as a whole. Gestalt laws are probably not universal, aliens might not be able to actually make a connection between stylized drawing and real object. And the translation might be impossible as well.

Regarding the nudity, that's a real facepalm. The female genitals were actually censored.
