Actually, he was. And like Kelly's, Urban supposedly got the ring from his mother iirc. (Though it was later claimed to be an "Academy Class Ring".) And he wore it on his pinky, as Kelly did, as a tribute to De.

1. Kirk is a child in the scene where he drives the car over the cliff, but THEN he's SUDDENLY in his 20's. OMG WTF??? How do you explain that??

2. Kirk leaves Uhura and Gaila's dorm in his underwear, then SUDDENLY everyone's in uniform doing the Kobayashi Maru test. Holy fuck! Is Paul Manheim conducting temporal experiments in this movie????? Since we never saw Kirk change, it's NOT CANON. Thus he's doing the Kobayshi Maru test in his UNDERWEAR. Can you say P-L-O-T H-O-L-E?
