Please spoil "the good that men do" for me

I've never been one for books, yet I can't find anywhere whatsoever that has a synopsis of the book. Obviously Trip is long-dead as of the 2300's, but damn, I want to know what happened in between!

Seriously... If you find the story idea to be intriguing, and have a serious interest in Trip's fate, why not read the book? It'll be a heck of a lot more enjoyable than reading a couple paragraphs of dry summation.

This is easy, it's a book about Nog and Jake, healing rifts of old, and looking back at a point in history that's recently become declassified.

See, easy.

The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones. Or so Shakespeare would have it.
