At the office we passed around the had yesterday and collected over $1,000 in our wing. All the money went to the Red Cross. :)

Quite amazing! Excellent results! :) Thanks again to everyone, for their donations and wonderful comments.

Heh, $4000 looks like it's going to be shattered. Let's set the next bar at $20,000,000 or so and see what happens. :D

I chucked my change into a bucket that someone was holding at the tube station today in aid of the Asia Tsunami appeal and reckon it came to about $6 (US). If I get anymore opportunity to donate then I will.

I donated via the Catholic relief fund yesterday. The family put in $100 and I have a feeling there might be special collections this weekend. This is a horrible tragedy. I'm glad we as a world community are doing what we can to help. Thanks for the thread Enterpriser.

I donated $15.00 through the Amazon site on Tuesday, and once I get my rent and electric paid for the month, will donate whatever else I can, probably to Doctors Without Borders. I'm also planning to go door-to-door for Oxfam in DC next weekend, since I've done that kind of fundraising for Environmental groups and the DNC before. (The group who did the DNC fundraising for the past election is now working for Oxfam.) I figure I can do a lot more that way, appealing to the richies on Capitol hill and in Georgetowne, rather than just scraping up a few extra bucks here and there. :)

Wonderful! :) I love to do these revisions! :)

I sent out the information to every clergyman I know. Now all I can do is pray they will respond quickly and generously.

I'll have numbers as soon as they come in.

-J.

They read out on the BBC an email from a viewer saying "I've just put a weeks wages into the relief fund - that's £150" ((Not a lot to live on believe me!!) Then went on to say "Why can't premiership foorballers do the same as they would be able to save more lives than me and still earn 2000 times more than i do in a year!"

And i though yeah! Why don't they!?!? So if any of you happen to know a premiership footballer, give it a little mention seeming as some of them make more in a week than it would cost to buy my house.

Me and Vilde has called in and submitted a 200kr donation to the redcross. That's something like $20.

Thanks to everyone who has donated since my last thank-you message. :)

I've increased my contribution by another $20.00. As I said, I intend to donate more over time. This last donation was another one to CARE. :)

OK. Numbers are in.

After contacting my clergy, their networks, associated projects and a few churches, we're currently at $10,000 and climbing.

As more comes in, I will update as necessary.

The Australian cricket team donated all the prize money of the last test to the appeal.

A spectacular figure! :) I doff my hat to you all. You are absolutely wonderful! :)

I just donated AU$40 (a little over US$30) to the Australian Red Cross. A hardcover book would cost roughly that much, so I figured why not do some good with that amount.
