Thank you, that’s very kind. I used a “regular” thin brush. I am glad it went well - it could’ve gone wrong.

In the long run, I’m considering bringing the three TOS action figures into the loop as well - Captain Kirk in 2369 (TOS: “The Engines of Destiny”). Use Spock’s head to make a generic 2360s-era Vulcan officer.

Swap Kirk’s and Spock’s head to get Captain Kirk (2286) and Admiral Spock (2293).

Perhaps swap heads between Picard and Khan for Augment Picard (ST: “Timelines”, ST: Myriad Universes: “Seeds of Dissent”)

I hope we get more officers so I can make Commander Troi, Ensign Kes and Ensign Seven; Captain Chakotay (“Before and After”), ECH, etc.

I'd settle for more than just three figures.

In an ideal world, we would get three versions of each PRO main character:
Regular outfit, incl. Janeway holo
Protostar uniform
Season 1 finale trainee uniform + evil goth Janeway
And Admiral Janeway.

In an ideal world we already have a few figures from each series (classic and nu) including Lower Decks. As it is I think we’ll be luck to get what’s already been released.

I feel like it was some time between the online releases of the previous stuff before I started seeing it in stores.

On the other hand, I'm not entirely sure that the Prodigy line won't be quietly killed (aka Playmates strikes again).

Bittersweet, considering the show has just been announced as cancelled: I found Prodigy action figures for the first time on the pegs (at retail) here in New Zealand - retailing for $30.00 (NZD) at The Warehouse store - in Maidstone Mall, Upper Hutt…

Yeah, guess this is why wave 2 is not happening. I wonder if the Janeway figure will emerge later in the main line, if it continues.

There was the one toy show balcony shot showing potential Trek toy offerings from Playmates like six months ago, but I haven’t seen any additional announcements or pictures of anything since then. I guess we’ll find out for sure at SDCC next month, but I have the feeling there wasn’t much retailer interest so I’m doubtful we’ll see anything else, unfortunately.

They confirmed they were doing the Enterprise-D and TOS communicator just last month. I’m still hopeful wave 2 will be released, as the legacy TOS/TNG stuff seems to do ok.

But it doesn’t seem likely that Prodigy wave 2 will see the light of day.

It can still be salvaged if Patamount finds a new home for Prodigy and is willing to do a push on the merchandise like on Amazon or at Target.

So, if anyone is still having trouble finding the new Playmates Trek figures in the wild, try your local target. Not just the toy section, though. Nowadays their store layout also includes a separate 'collectibles/pop culture' wall, typically somewhere near the ever-shrinking selection of movies and TV shows on DVD and blu-ray, and music on vinyl and CD.

I've seen that company's stuff previously, so at first glance no reason to doubt it.

What's more odd to me is that this is like the fourth go-around for Kelvin-verse figures. I don't know why these companies wouldn't try and do SNW or something a little more relevant.
