Well, it's happened. I have now purchased all 8 figures. Burnham twice! (The first one had a defective arm that only bent backwards) My arc from "glad they're making these again, of course I would never buy one" to having them all posed with accessories on a shelf is complete.

You've got me, Playmates. I stand ready to purchase anything and everything you produce.

I am so ignorant of the business side of action figure production. How long does it take till we know whether the line has sold well enough to merit extension?

You just articulated why I don't buy figures. You cannot get just one.

I found my playmates figures last night. The entire Enterpise-D crew is intact, save for Troi who I must lost somehow.

Riker blames Worf, Worf blames Riker.

Indeed. I would imagine there would be an announcement first quarter of 2023, as they still have parts of Wave 1/Prodigy still to release.

We gonna need a Playmates USS Protostar! Darn it that season 1 eps are out, Christmas is around the corner and yet there's no Prodigy merch in the stores.

Sounds about right. I have my tenth sword on order, and plenty of smaller blades from long dirks to patch knives.

Super 7's Ultimates lines tend to be really good quality, but the price point means I typically only use them for nostalgia fandoms that don't have a lot of other merch out there (like Thundercats or some such).

So, I could get a Riker and Data figure. Replace Riker’s head and hands with Data’s… and create a first officer Commander Data?!

There’s definitely a second wave coming, likely April. Playmates are very happy with how the line has been received so far, which bodes well for future releases

I think it’s just the supply chain problems everyone/everything has encountered. Wave 1 of the “Star Trek Universe” line was supposed to be out in August or September originally. But we didn’t start seeing stuff on shelves until October.

Entertainment Earth has the Prodigy stuff listed for November delivery. I’d bet it’s closer to Christmas.
