Playmates Toys

I hope they announce a Drednok toy soon. He looks like he was designed to sell toys, but his figure would be a bit more complex than the usual humanoids.

Hmm, Q promises "environments". Does that mean playsets?
I hope so. I'd love to see a re-release of the TNG bridge and finally get the engineering set released. Heck I'd love to see bridge playsets for all the figure series'.

I hope we get all the series' characters in all the uniform variations we've seen them in. Basically I want to see TOS and TMP versions released too. Same with TNG films, both DS9, etc.

Wait, I thought they did release engineering? I never had any of the playsets, alas, but I swear one of my friends had it...

Yeah, I still have the engineering set. It’s kinda small but cool.

I’d rather we get the TOS bridge that was never released before we get a re-release of the TNG bridge.

The TNG bridge is totally awesome but could be improved further. I always wanted swappable viewscreens instead of that Romulan Warbird!

But I doubt we'll get proper playsets. I'm not sure the toy market really does them in a big way now, even the Star Wars line which is much more established. IIRC they use crowdfunding for big playsets.

Patiently taps foot waiting for ship news....

I concur!

Nice to see the original TOS Connie again, buuuut truth be told, I’m more interested in ships not yet done by Playmates.

They did and I had it... cannot remember when it was released, but the warp core was awesome, and it looked and sounded great. Only complaint were the "futuristic" ridiculously shaped chairs-of-the-future... :)

I don't know why I thought engineering was never released. Brain fart I guess.

Looking closer at the figures on the website, did they change the hips? Or are those just prototype mockups with loosened hip joints? I'm only wondering because I never cared for the fact that the 90s figures had to sit all weirdly bow-legged. It just didn't look right when I sat my TOS Kirk on the captain's chair on the cardboard TOS bridge from that TOS crew collector's set. My stop motion adventures just look weird because of it.
