I have often wondered, if someone comes along with some money--if someone would do a movie with the mid-1970s equipment to get the old film grain--except CGI for the actors. I think Redford was going to be Kirk for STTMP--so doing an alternate universe one off movie with old techniques might be a nice aside...

This post makes no sense. CGI actors, but mid-70s equipment to get film grain? That sounds like you'd be photographing the animation off a computer.
Redford and people like that are what directors like Philip Kaufman would have liked to cast instead of the TV cast, but no casting was ever finalized for Planet of the Titans because the script was never finished (and, according to some sources, it never got much father than the treatment stage).
