I like this bit in the article:

The Restoration Team was originally formed in the early nineties to try to restore colour to three stories that the BBC only held in monochrome. Over a decade and a half ago, it feels like we're going back to our roots... but using processes and techniques we could only dream of back then. 'Planet of the Daleks':3 is the culmination of many years of hard work and experience, and we're still learning and striving for perfection.

Might have to see if I can afford this one.

I'm looking forward to this release - and any other Pertwee release for that matter. Here's hoping it means restored color on Ambassadors of Death and The Mind of Evil is not too far off.

Why do you say that?

The jungle looks a lot less fake, and the CSO effects are less rough-looking. Also, the Daleks themselves simply look better in monochrome- they glint and gleam really evilly if the lighting's right and the colour is turned off.

Wow, I never thought this would happen. I remember watching my old VHS copy and it suddenly becoming black and white. It even had an explanation about it on the back of the box.

TBH, Planet of the Daleks is actually better in B&W...

You could argue that Planet of the Daleks is better left unseen :) What is it with the 4th story in every Pertwee season (Season 7 aside) is a pile of rubbish?

The only frustrating is that were I not getting them all anyway, I would still get this for the colour Episode Three...
