Placing a line

I'm trying to place a line of dialogue - something like, 'Your life/death/sacrifice will buy the lives of over one thousand of your fellow crewmates.' Does anyone know where this comes from or is referenced from? If it was Trek it had to be TNG but it could have been some other sci-fi.

Also the reference of 'the power of a billion suns.' Any ideas?

KIRK: Intership communications. This is the captain speaking. In approximately one minute, we'll be attacked by Federation starships. The M-5 no longer controls the ship, but neither do we control it. The M-5 has left itself, and us, open for destruction.
