The network nixed it under pressure from Catholic groups who don't want to see priests portrayed as drinking alcohol, so instead they green lit another three camera sitcom about vapid annoying people dating each other while making sarcastic comments.

It won an emmy.

I honestly can't believe no one has tried a Jason Bourne tv series yet. Lord knows there can't be much more gas in the cinema tank

Well there is that midseason replacement with Lost alumni Intelligence. From what I remember about it, a guy with a wireless computer in his brain. Supposedly a higher tech version of Bourne, maybe.
