Pitch terrible ideas for episodes II

"Books"
forty-seven minutes of Picard reading books. Occasionally he utters a low, "ummm" and maybe nods his head.

There are no emergencies, space anomalies, or temporal rifts. Just books. And nobody interrupts him. Maybe he gets up and we hear him pee.

Is the camera over his shoulder? Maybe we can read along.

ENT "Who Pooped on the Captain's Bed" A thriller through the eyes of Porthos where all the crew is suspect.

DSC "Saru does a Funny" Go behind the scenes to Saru's stand up routine

TOS "Love in the All the Wrong Places" Kirk's journey to a specialized clinic for an alien STD

TNG "Shuffles" Watching Data shuffle cards at a poker table

DS9 "The Great War" Quark and Odo's versions on why the conference was destroyed and it started off with a thumb war.

VOY "Paris" Neelix secretly watches Paris on he steals food from the galley

An episode of Enterprise called "Forty-Seven Minutes" which involves people going in and out of the decontamination chamber at a busy port. It's the same shot, except for act 4, which features an 8 minute long zoom-in shot toward T'Pol.

Discovery "Muddled Reflections" - The crew of the Discovery enroute to pick up their new captain receive a distress call from a disabled shuttlecraft where they find Harry Mudd - from the Mirror Universe! A bumbling assistant-to-the-Rebel sympathizer, Mudd seeks asylum aboard Discovery just as Captain James Halpert of the ISS Dunder-Mifflin jumps in with it's displacement-activated-beets-hub drive, demanding the immediately surrender of the traitorous Mudd for crimes against the Empire.

Voyager - "Promotions" - Ensign Kim finally receives a promotion to Lieutenant. However, as soon as the rank pip is applied to his collar, a half-Borgified Kazon named Maj Tiberius-Augustus Picard, a visitor from the future materializes through an Iconian gateway, and warns that promoting Harry Kim will lead to a series of catastrophic events that will cause the downfall of Starfleet, the crumbling of the Federation, and inevitably the destruction of the entire universe. In an effort to maintain existence for all, Harry Kim is demoted back to Ensign. Special Guest Star Patrick Stewart as his descendant Maj Tiberius-Augustus Picard.

Threshold.

Attempting to break a speed barrier Capt Janeway and Tom Paris turn into lizards and have babies.

Wait a minute.... that sounds familiar.

The Changing Face Of Honor (DSC)

It turns out, ten years ago the Klingons were inflicted with a horrible disease that changes their face and makes them more monstrous. In an effort to end the war, Stammets uses the spores to find a cure for this virus, but it has a side effect of making the eugenic manipulation from Enterprise contagious to the entire Klingon population, giving them all human-like faces. He swears, even if it takes another twenty years, he will find a cure for the virus to restore them to their natural faces.

Drawn Out (DSC)

Through an accident traversing the mycelial network, Discovery finds a parallel universe where everything is almost exactly the same except that it looks like a cartoon, and needs to escape back to its own universe.

DSC: Turnabout

As a "trust building exercise" after catching her lying to him in the Mirror Universe, Saru takes Burnham to San Francisco's hottest new restaurant Heston's, to try their signiture dish.

Heston's: Where the Orion servers are not the only green around.

(Alt tagline: You'll never guess what it's made from!)

Leaping Legumes

While researching a new method for regenerating spores, Stamets accidentally creates a mycelial link to black beans. Every taco tuesday, the ship is transported to a new destination along the network, and the crew must resolve whatever crisis they're facing before the ship jumps again, which it will do anywhere between 24-72 hours after its initial jump. Every time they fail, they create a new enemy of the Federation, therefore success is paramount. And delicious.

DSC: Sliders

The spore drive gets broken and every leap takes the Discovery crew to different, slightly alternate universes. In the first episode of this bold new arc, the crew visit a universe where everything is the same except federation warp nacelles glow turquoise.

Supersize Us - DS9

In a desperate bid to increase profit Quark transitions his bar into a fast food restaurant causing an obesity epidemic on the station.

"Wavehold"

Experimenting again with soliton waves, Wesley and Troi are sent in a shuttle to speeds exceeding warp ten. They come back salamanders and Salamander Troi has had Salamander Wesley's babies.

Miss Temporal Galaxy (DSC, etc.)

Through a glitch in the mycelial network and a bit of snark on Stamets's part, the ship is, along with others in time, forced into orbit around an enormous arena planet. All of the women are immediately transported off-ship and into the arena, to take place in what Commander Saru determines to be a long-lost art form referred to as a 'beauty pageant'.

T'Pol makes it through the swimsuit section but loses in the talent portion. Janeway crushes the evening gown competition via sabotaging Troi's Halston gown. Kira answers mindless questions about saving the planet. Uhura beats everyone in the talent competition, M'Ress wins, and Tilly takes up clog dancing.
