So, I climbed the CN Tower stairs on Thursday, and finished with a time of 21:19, well under my goal of 25 minutes. It was a really great, though challenging experience. I'm glad I did it. And I'm glad as well that I knew ahead of time that after you get to the 144th floor and you're done being timed and getting congratulated for getting to the top, that there were 10 more flights to go up in order to get to the elevators to go down. I might have been pretty pissed otherwise.
And the buffet afterwards at Joe Badali's was great!
All in all, the people who climbed from my company raised over $3500 for WWF. Cool beans.

KInda like it, gives a nice effect to the picture. As well as making you look a bit stonedMy girlfriend and I went out dancing tonight. Believe it or not this is the one picture that was *least* effected by the laser show they had going on at the club.
We had an amazing time, danced for about 2 hours straight. My legs will be voicing their objections tomorrow, I'm sure.
Haha yeah, I actually do like the effect it gave. The other pics were just bad though...plus we were *really* sweaty. The lasers looked cool but I kept getting them in my eyes, and am surprised I didn't end up blind by the end of the night.
We're going out next weekend, and the place will be sans lasers so I should be able to get some petter pics.
Once you've cut it, it's hard to go back. I've become addicted to scissors.
Excellent!Cooper loved his birthday! I've honestly never seen him to consistently happy throughout the day. I stopped by his house after work to visit because he was still awake. He was surrounded by toys and playing with blocks.

Apparently he spent the whole time at Toys "R" Us hugging the bag of blocks, so mama had to buy it for him.

I had been trying not look at the floor numbers, because knowing the way I think it would have made the climb seem longer watching them go up. But people kept asking the EMTs "how much farther?" and I couldn't tune out the answers. My legs stopped getting more sore after about 40 or 50 flights, and then I got an abdominal cramp around the 100th, which was uncomfortable. I didn't rest a single time, though, because when I had been training for the climb I found that taking a breather just made it that much harder to start back up.
One thing that helped was pacing myself by having someone going a manageable speed right in front of me. And if it was a woman with a nice butt, that helped distract from the pain.
