It took people a long time to get used to me with my short hair, even though I had only grown my hair out for about 9 months.

I was the same. I was labeled 'Corporate Tyler' for a while. Or 'The Marine' by friends in England who insisted on saluting me on sight.

I was told by many people that I looked like Brian Urlacher, which I thought was absolutely ridiculous.

Plus, most people had known me a lot longer before when I originally had short hair, so it shouldn't have come as a shock when I buzzed off my long hair. It was only 9 months, for crying out loud.

That's funny, because my sister and I are only half-related.

Well then your mom's genes seem to be really quite powerful. :p My dad always said that his genes got weaker with every child he had. My oldest brother is just like my dad. My older brother takes after both my mom and dad equally, and i totally take after my mom. :guffaw:

Actually, I look quite a bit like my father too. I wish I had a picture to compare. Anyway, I've always just assumed that my sister's father and my father must have been the same 'type'. ;)

This looks soooo nice! -Mind, I'm more used to having dogs lie on me than it being the other way 'round.

Seeing these pets makes me want to post this one again:

My male cat Gimli who was still a kitten at the time. He doesn't do this anymore.

^^Lovely!
I once had a boyfriend who had a strong preference for really short hair on a woman. He had a thing for the back of a woman's neck. He never got to see me with short hair like I wear it now, however...
Ironical.

That's funny.

Was he Asian by any chance? I know that the back of a woman's neck can be a bit of a taboo kind of thing in some Asian cultures, that's why I ask.
Mexican American. Not particularly versed in Asian culture, I think.

Funny hair posts, guys! I've enjoyed them. I'm not quoting, though.

But I'm saving this quote:
Sorry captain, the ship's humor sensors need recalibrating.

Kids are too damn cute, especially when they're covered in sticky candy goo:

Oh and here's me just drawing on my friends boob. Quite normal really:

Thankee Flukes :)

Bears, leave it to me to notice the jeans...is that piping down the sides? Man I just had 80s flashbacks...don't tell me those are in style again? :p

Yes, that's piping. They were stretch jeans. One of my all-time favorite pairs of pants, but they were ruined earlier this year when they sat wet in a hamper and became mold-infested. :(

As for the 80's resurging, I've noticed a lot of leg warmers and stretch pants all the sudden around LA. Those jeans however were about 7 years old.

The 80s have been back with us for a couple of years now.

It can work I think... a little while ago I saw this girl who was wearing scrunched-down grey leg warmers with black high heels and an otherwise fairly conservative black dress & accessories. It was a very cute/sassy touch.

^^Maybe she was just tired of having cold ankles.
Darn, I'm beginning to sound like Trekker.

I announced this yesterday, beret me (and hat me):

The hat's not great though. It looks too small.
The stuffed alligator on the TV is from New Orleans.

Why does the image of a French woman in a beret make me think she'll say this only once???

I really like the hat though -looks very good on you!

^ You weren't expecting the next image to be of "the stolen madonna with the big boobies..."

Another 'allo 'allo fan in here I see... that show was so good.
