Wearing my fiancee's theatre shirt.

Good lord... If I was ten years younger (and didn't know any better) I would waste so much time on you. And Irish to boot... my mother would be so pleased... But speaking as a mature person with some common sense, very nice. :bolian: Love the hat. Actually the shirt is great too.

Made a trip up to the bay (that's northern california to you) this past weekend. Had the opportunity to fly Virgin airlines. It was awesome:

While there, my cousin and I got into a little scuffle with Mr. Jollibee

This morning I was greeted by the most beautiful rainbow I had seen in a very long time. Sadly, by the time I got my camera out, this was what was left of it:

I tried to capture one once, and it just didn't show up on my basic phone camera... I think you got enough of it to be cool. That would have been such a nice view if it were not for the two tower blocks in the distance... whoever dreamt those up should be dismembered, slowly. :D

I have a better, non-obstructed view. The rainbow is a bit more faded, though:

The best appearance was when driving up to my home city this morning, but I couldn't find a decent parking space. :(

It's in Sheffield itself - I live very close to western edge of the city, right next to the Peaks.

Snake Pass is almost down the road from me. :bolian:

Ah, I thought it might be there, for I have been to Sheffield and walked upon it's many, many hills. Everywhere in Sheffield is up.

:D

It's funny - I was in Aberdeen (where I grew up) a few weeks ago - it seemed hillier than I remembered.

Re: Let's see... ummm YOU!! Picture Thread!

Ok so I bumped into Patrick in Brighton today and asked a friend to take a pic

That's my arm! When I took a pic of him, it came out better. What's is so difficult with 'point and click'?

I was so cross I decided to go to the pier and raise the power...

And the birds came ....

I was looking for my baseball glove for the game I'm attending next week...didn't find it, but I did find this:

That's right, that is my uniform from the Little League team I was on when I was 5. :)

Very pleasant but very rushed. We saw the matinee of Waiting for Godot ~ he was stunning on stage ~ this was about 5.40 and he had another performance at 8pm. I did feel a bit like I'd ambushed him but he signed my programme:) One of those moments you wished you'd said 'I think you're brilliant' rather than just holding out a programme and pen and going 'oooeeerrrrrrr'

Re: Let's see... ummm YOU!! Picture Thread!

On the other hand, just smiling and "ooooeeerrrrr"ing has no chance for failure. You could ask a (perhaps overcomplicated) question and have him ignore it in favor of answering some imagined alternative one on a similar topic. I think people like him get so many of the same questions they tend to just keep 25 memorized responses handy to respond to any question in that sort of situation, as he wasn't the only person I've experienced this with. Can't really blame him, but it was a bit disappointing to be brushed aside with a canned answer.
