Picture the Novelverse - Characters, Ships and More !

Are there any pics of the White-Blue character from the Titan books?

When I came up with White-Blue, I imagined him looking a bit like the Tachikoma/Fuchikoma AI robots from the anime series Ghost In The Shell...

Kinda like this guy, with more limbs and a smaller abdomen "pod".

Many thanks, that helps.

OT: I finished off "Synthesis" yesterday.
The sacrifice at the end brought tears to my eyes. And this for a character that I did not like even the idea of when she first appeared in the book. I was and am truly sad she is gone. Kudos.

Hey, thanks.

Synthesis is partly a story about parenthood and growing up, and the Avatar's journey through the book reflects that. With her actions at the end of the story, I hoped to show that she'd matured enough to exhibit the very adult trait of selflessness.

Hey, thanks.

You're very welcome.

You conveyed that very well in my opinion. Truly an outstanding story. I cannot wait for "The Poisoned Chalice" to come out in November.

I understand why you got rid of her at the end, but I was still disappointed. I really liked her, and was hoping she would join the recurring cast.

I thought seriously about it...

...but making that final sacrifice is an important part of the journey the character makes through the story, and it also pays off with the effect it has on Riker & Troi and their status as new parents.

Also; the editor and I felt that the "ship's-computer-as-a-character" concept had kinda been done by Peter David in the New Frontier novels.

Not sure if it really fits this thread, but Cross Cult has posted cover drafts for their German translation of the Romulan War duology:

Have we seen any meshes of the other "Full Circle" fleet ships from the Voyager relaunch other than Meerian and Vesta? Or what Voyager is supposed to look like nowadays?

Mark Rademaker dropped a few tidbits on his blog, but right now he's busy with a few other things. I do believe he is still working on the Dementer and Voyager a lot.

A few words on Voyager:

The Demeter:

I remember seeing the new emblem of the Romulan Star Empire (post-Reman secession) somewhere. Might be worth posting in here.

Also, are there any pictures of Bena, daughter of Leeta and Rom?

I got the impression she'd been deliberately left 'off-screen' so that we might go crazy imagining. I see it as kind of like that episode of Friends where Janice has a baby, and everyone who looks it it, their face freezes in comical horror.

.

The german covers really are fantastic. I would love to see a resource of them, or some higher quality posts. [Most of the ones that turn up on google are pretty low quality.]

Don't know if you can call them "higher quality", but I've written an article for the G&T Show website collecting all covers that Cross Cult changed: http://www.gandtshow.com/?p=3016

ETA: If you see the article before it gets fixed: I'm already aware that the Crucible covers aren't German creation, must have had a total brain-fart when I included them.

Bump.

Anyone got anything new to post ?

We could post the German Cross Cult covers - the new ones depict SCE characters. Also, their VOY covers show the characters in in gray-shouldered uniform awesomeness.

Aaand we might get to see some better previews of STOL 2015.

Also, the Valdore-class from Indistinguishable from Magic is now a playable ship in Star Trek Online, and a variant of the Mogai-class at that.

Plenty of stuff, so. :bolian:
