Picard's MOMENT

Picard is usually a peaceful man, which is one of the reasons he is such a great character. But there were a few times on TNG/TNG movies when he snapped with anger...not many...but there were a few times when he really made his point "the line must be drawn here!" being one...

What was Picards most memorable "anger out burst"

Rob

I believe the episode "Where Silence Has Lease" when Nagilum (Correct sp?) kills one of the crewman on the bridge, Picard goes off on him. I know he was really pissed off.

The First Contact one is definitely one of the best!

GO CHARGERS!!!

Yes..go chargers indeed...

Stewart did a great job at walking that line of 'tempered anger'. Sometimes you get the feeling that even the crew felt let down if they let him get mad...

"Not good enough dammit! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!"

My personal favorite. I almost think of that as Picard's "KHAN!" moment.

I was also going to mention "The line must be drawn HERE!" but I have a feeling that one will come up a lot.

Seriously, it's not an anger moment, but for losing control, the mud fight with Picard and his brother was very pwerful in Family.

That one was so personal for him especially the anger he had in him from the Borg, just exploding on his brother and their past.

I actually prefer FAMILY to BOBW part two. More proof to me that small character episodes are TREK (all of them) at its best...

I love Family. It's my all time favorite episode and that scene in the vineyards, with his brother, is one of the reasons why.

I recently watched A Matter of Time and there is a great Picard anger moment that I totally forgot about. That's the episode with Matt Frewer as a con artist time traveler, who supposedly knew the fate of a doomed planet. Picard really goes off on him verbally.

^^^^Another great character moment from that episode was when Jean-Luc sees Robert for the first time. Robert doesn't even turn to acknowledge him. It was so much like me and my brother. I could totally relate. Absolutely characters at their best.

I love that one too. Especially the way he slams his hands on his desk before he says it. It's a great dramatic moment, but it makes me laugh too. Guinan and Picard are usually so friendly with each other, so I can't help but be amused by him being so frustrated with her.

Speaking of all-time great pissed off Picard moments, let's not forget his reactions to Q and Wesley. Particularly in the pilot when he yells "Shut up, Wesley!", when he tears into him ("YOU DON'T DESERVE TO WEAR THAT UNIFORM!") in "The First Duty", and at the end of "Deja Q" when Q says he feels like celebrating and Picard is fuming as he declares, "Q! I DON'T!"

^^^ You beat me to it. I was going to mention the one at the end of Deja Q.

There is the time he goes off at the people who took the kids in When The Bough Breaks. "You have just commited an act of utter barbarity!"

There is that stone cold look at the end of Preemptive Strike. No words there, but you can see the anger and disappointment clearly.

He was pretty pissed off with Riker in Pegaus, in the scene in his quarters where he's eating dinner.
