Picard's Jacket

I liked it. For a while you could buy a decent replica on StarTrek.com, but it was kind of expensive, and out of my price range at the time.

Liked it but not on its first appearance - I think they improved the look of it significantly, or at least lit it differently later on.

They did. IIRC, it appeared first in Darmok and it top was ribbed black leather, but only for that episode. The black shoulders were changed to ribbed suede for the remainder of the show; that looked better and that was the style you could buy. I liked it a lot.

Me too.

Liked the idea--like Kirk's wrap-around, it set him apart from the others in the crew. Felt it needed more work, though, and dind't much care for the grey shirt he wore underneath--too much like Wesley's acting ensing togs.

Which is why I disliked it. I even remember the previews for Darmok..."what is Picard wearing"?

The DS9 uniforms took awhile to get used to, looking much like academy cadet uniforms.

I like the jacket. There are two versions. I think I like the version better that doesn't have the ridged shoulders. I do like the jacket but I really really hate the uniform varient that it comes with.
