Picard (series) did Elnor and Laris dirty!

If you really want to look at misuses of the budget, season 1 has three whole episodes of material that were scraped / reshot.

Citation needed? public filings in California for tax credits that show PS1 had a 130 day shoot in a 100 day pattern.

Look up all the Trek fan channels on Youtube,
Nah, I'd rather not.
Lord Terry Matalas saved PIC by making S3 as memorable as it is, or it would have ended in a whimper like DISC.
Memorable is certainly a word for it.

It was loaded with so many memberberries and fanfic moments that no one could notice the paper thin plot.

It's funny that Picard season 3 was praised for pulling the same kinda crap that Discovery was condemned for.

I do not think either was really done dirty, especially Elnor. Whi was kind of on the edges from jump. And he got pushed aside in S2, really, not S3.

Laris is a bit of another matter. Not having closure there did bug me a bit. And I was rooting for her. In my head, Picard is friends with Beverly but they are not together, and he goes off with Laris. But it did not look that way to me.

But having three seasons of Picard and not having virtually any TNG callbacks does not make much sense either. Really.

Unless Picard has a Bolian wedding and marries them both.
That's my "Head Canon".

Admiral JLP marries BOTH Admiral Beverly Crusher & Laris
All details of their Triangular Relationship is worked out "Off-Screen".

Then JLP has 3x children in total:
Jack Crusher = Biological Son
Wesley Crusher = Step Son
Elnor = Adopted Son by both (JLP & Laris)

They're one happy family

I do agree with the sentiment of the thread creator. Though I think Laris (and Zhaban) were mishandled from the start. It made no sense for them to not go with Picard to help out in the first season. They could've perhaps even given Zhaban a heroic death instead of killing him off screen. I think they gave up on the Picard-specific characters for the most part and I think that started in the second season.
